Fjeldfolk is an old word that means Mountain people.

Fjeldfolk is a small, independent company based in Western Norway.

What started as a passion for the mountains and fjords has grown into a business focused on creating private, high-quality experiences for people who want something more than a typical trip.

We don’t follow fixed programs or large groups. Every experience is shaped around the people we guide — their pace, their level, and what they actually want to experience.

This is not mass tourism.

This is Fjeldfolk

Team FJELDFOLK

PER TORE HOVE Founder of Fjeldfolk

Per Tore has a wide range of guiding experience in mountain hiking, bicycle, cross country ski trips, glacier, dogsledding, kayaking, Via Ferrata, SUP and climbing. He is always looking for new adventures and is often seen dogsledding over frozen landscape during winter.

His daytime he spends working as a inspiring teacher at the local school for carpentering. And not at least, taking care of his home and farm together with Sandra and their two daughters.

SANDRA CATHRIN HOVE Co-Founder of Fjeldfolk and host at Kleiva

Sandra is known for her passion for outdoor living and is in her best environment when she can pass on the joy to others.

Sandra is all about the details and is the one that always make sure you as a guest will get the true experience that will put a smile on your face.
